Optic Symphony is an interactive installation designed for the Decibel Electronic Audio+Art Festival. How do musicians listen to music? Inspired by the phenomenon of synesthesia, this spatial installation explores the relationships between the three foundations of music—rhythm, melody and harmony.

Users navigate between the space as an equalizer, where they are able to balance rhythmic and melodic instruments to create a harmonic audiovisual experience. The installation was made using Processing, MadMapper, openTSPS, After Effects and Ableton Live along with an Xbox One Kinect sensor, two projectors and a MIDI Fighter 3D.
